JDLooking for an experienced program manager to join an ongoing Learning and Development solution implementation initiative at Google New York.Must have at least 10 years of experience in managing and executing large scale cross functional projects/ programs (IT & non-IT)Must be PMP certified (Preferred)Must be a self starter with min. guidance and must have strong communication skillsMust have hands on experience building and managing detailed/complex project plans in Smartsheet/MS project or any major project mgt toolA project manager is responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure. This includes:Defining and managing the project scope: The project manager works with stakeholders to define the project's goals, objectives, and deliverables. They also develop a detailed project scope statement that outlines the work that needs to be done.Developing and managing the project plan: The project manager develops a detailed project plan that outlines the project's schedule, budget, and resources. They also identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans.Leading and motivating the project team: The project manager is responsible for leading and motivating the project team. They create a positive and supportive work environment, and they provide regular feedback and coaching.Managing change: The project manager is adept at managing change. They are able to identify and assess changes to the project scope, schedule, or budget, and develop mitigation strategies.Communicating with stakeholders: The project manager is responsible for keeping stakeholders informed of the project's progress, and they communicate any changes or risks to the project.
