Join us as a Project Management Analyst

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Project Management Analyst to join our Enterprise Services Team. In this role the ES Analyst performs specialized Enterprise Services duties on a daily basis. S/He is a subject matter specialist typically dealing with complex issues as they relate to his/her area of focus. This individual oversees small/medium projects and/or workstreams of larger projects under the moderate supervision of the section manager. The ES Analyst - Project Manager will initiate, organize, drive, and complete projects or segments of projects that address business goals and needs. S/he gathers business requirements, collects, and analyzes data, tracks, and escalates open items, to ensure department needs and deadlines are met. In addition, the Project Manager may lead user acceptance testing, training, and implementation of new and existing applications as defined in a project roll out plan. From an analyst standpoint, this individual will produce ad-hoc reporting using relevant reporting tools to identify risks/exposure and make suggestions to close the gaps by documenting process improvements and creating/updating procedures. S/he is results oriented and understand the impact of the project on the organization as whole.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

Project Planning/Tracking

  • Identifies business goals and problems in isolated business units and across the organization
  • Prepare a project plan as appropriate. Including the creation of a work breakdown structure, task assignments, timelines, phases, dependencies, and critical paths
  • Work with project partners to prioritize projects and to coordinate Systems personnel resources
  • Track open items in multiple projects and understand time sensitivities of open issues
  • Oversee documentation of new or revised procedures or workflows

Vendor Oversight and Risk Management

  • Oversee the Travel & Expense Management tool in parallel with the corporate card travel/procurement programs to ensure processes are compliant with Firm policies
  • Develop and enhance internal controls to ensure vendor engagements are compliant with Firm policies governing vendor relationships
  • Escalate issues and gaps to vendor that impede daily business functions
  • Collaborate with Systems teams in evaluating manual processes, identify gaps, creating automation, and developing controls and procedures as necessary
  • Help to identify ES risk items and document errors to reduce exposure
  • Ensure all areas of procedures are updated and documented

Client Service

  • Provide superior client service
  • Ensure timely response to internal and external requests
  • Follow up on open inquiries
  • Build relationships and promote services with internal departments

Enterprise Operations Support

  • Create and maintain correspondence, as needed
  • Learn all job functions and serve as backup for all job functions as required
  • Participate in and seek functional and cross training opportunities as approved by the Supervisor
  • Perform various other related duties as requested/required to facilitate the productivity of the department
  • Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity
  • Contribute to Division or Firm process improvement activities

Other

  • Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity

  • Assist in the development and production of monthly management reporting
  • Provide support on department projects as requested
  • Assist team members with day-to-day activities when needed/ providing backup

Desired Qualifications:

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

  • BS Degree required
  • 3-5 years relevant financial services industry experience
  • Financial/project management experience preferred

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

  • Strong PC skills (Windows XP, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking a must
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Team player but also able to work independently
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Available to work overtime when necessary

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $95,000, which is specific to Jersey City, NJ and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
