Group/Division

KLA is well known for its high-performing business model which routinely produces significant profit margins and revenue. Key to supporting KLA business is the finance team that partners with corporate and global business organizations to provide expertise and guidance for developing and executing sound business models and practices. The Finance organization consists of operations and corporate finance teams. The operations finance team influences business decisions by gathering the best available operations information, distilling it and making recommendations to our management team on the best course of action. The corporate team provides a broad range of services, such as financial planning, corporate accounting, tax, industry analysis and benchmarking, internal audits, SEC reporting and merger and acquisition support.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsible for implementing systems and procedures for KLA to report on its progress in meeting ESG reporting objectives and ensure adequacy of controls and compliance with regulations in KLA's reporting.

  • Primary owner in the ESG team for implementation of ESG reporting solution, creating dashboards and reporting functionalities.
  • Work with various collaborators to design and implement internal controls around data and documentation to lead regulatory and financial reporting process.
  • Develop workflows for data, documentation & report reviews, ESG Team tie-out, SteerCo signoff & audit processes in the ESG reporting solution.
  • Create guidelines, checklists, policies, procedures, and other related program content to align with standard processes and frameworks.
  • Assemble instructions for data owners & reviewers. Conduct training sessions with SteerCo, on the documentation and the evidence of review.
  • Develop a process for ESG reporting that aligns with KLA's SEC reporting requirements. Review documentation and evidence to support accuracy. Own sections of GIR report tie-out.
  • Remain up to date on ESG trends and developments and translate them into actionable improvements and reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking of ESG and sustainability disclosures relative to our peers, other corporate ESG & sustainability leaders, industry trends and standard methodologies.
  • Proactively identify ESG and sustainability disclosure issues, risks, opportunities, trends and solutions that may positively or negatively impact the company's disclosure strategy
  • Assist ESG team & SteerCo in evaluating identified disclosure gaps.
  • Review the narrative content of sustainability reports, voluntary SEC disclosures and other communications for internal consistency and accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with ESG team and across other functional areas and partners to drive program awareness and communicate program goals and results.
  • Engage with the broader ESG accounting and disclosure community to build standard processes for KLA.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SoX and alignment with financial audit standards for ESG metrics to be included in the forms 10-K and 10-Q.
  • Assist in developing appropriate external communications regarding ESG strategy and progress.
  • Act as a leader with vision in ESG, understanding current and future challenges within the industry and educating and prioritizing these issues with internal teams and external customers.
  • In collaboration with the financial reporting team and corporate communications, lead evaluation of opportunities and readiness for integrated/combined ESG and financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
  • Minimum 3 years of financial experience
