About The Role

As the Esthetician & Skincare Experience Specialist, reporting to the Store Manager, you will provide and develop exceptional skincare treatments supporting goop’s beauty as wellness philosophy, at our Marin store. Playing a pivotal role in the development of our new goop Spa concept, you will lead collaboration with our team to help design signature facials, assist in selecting and ordering necessary equipment and products, and ensure the space embodies goop's high standards of luxury and wellness.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and deliver facial treatments, including facial massage, lymphatic drainage, and red-light therapy, while ensuring all services align with goop's elevated wellness philosophy.
• Manage the booking system independently, including scheduling, generating repeat clients, maximizing customer loyalty and acquiring new customers through in-store engagement.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and organization of the treatment room at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and goop protocols.
• Provide personalized product recommendations during and after treatments to enhance the client experience and drive retail sales.
• Collaborate with the beauty team to design and refine facial protocols, assisting in equipment and product selection with corporate approvals.
• Support the sales floor during non-booked times, contributing to customer engagement and overall retail store performance, while also participating in store operations as needed.
• Stay aligned with goop’s brand values and training, ensuring exceptional service and expertise in both treatments and product knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid California Esthetician License with experience as a Facialist, preferably in a holistic spa or wellness environment.
• Experience in setting up or managing treatment rooms and developing treatment strategies.
• Strong knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and clean beauty practices and products.
• Excellent interpersonal skill and a passion for wellness and alignment with goop’s holistic values.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.

FAQ 

• Compensation: $26-$30/hour + equity + commission plan and service tips. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated rate range for the Larkspur, CA based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this range. Goop provides the range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual compensation will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
