Your Opportunity

Our Global Mining team has a need for an Estimating Intern based out of our office in Chandler, AZ. You would work within our mining, minerals and metals team in support of various clients in completing exciting projects such as underground and surface mining operations, conceptual projects and closure studies.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Working in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Stantec and its Clients.
• Developing an understanding of applicable safety codes, regulations and guidelines.

ROLE AND TASKS + Contribution to the preparation of quality technical documents and/or drawings to Stantec Mining standards.

• Contribution to design calculations, equipment/material specifications and data sheets, discipline design drawings etc. with required supervision commensurate with your level of experience.
• Working with a multi-discipline engineering and design team on a day-to-day basis.
• Coordinating of/participating in the preparation of project designs and details.
• Participation in project meetings.
• Perform various office tasks as required to deliver a quality product on schedule.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or secondary degree in the professional discipline related to this internship.
• An interest in acquiring mining specific experience in your discipline.
• Proficiency with software relevant to the professional discipline of this internship.
• You must be a self-starter and be able to work in a team setting.
