Summary:
The Data Scientist builds Natural Language Processing (NLP) models using Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) technologies to build data classifiers and extract meaningful insights from large data sets. Understands the situational application of different sources of data and types of metrics and applies expertise in AI/ML to solve specific problems.
 
Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Washington, D.C.

Position Type: Full Time 

General Responsibilities:

• Five (5) years appling data mining techniques.
• Do statistical analysis and build high quality prediction systems integrated with products.
• Comfortable programming in Python, R and other languages.
• Building ETL pipelines for ingesting and conforming data for further analysis (e.g., AWS Glue, Pentaho, etc.)
• Automate classification of text using machine learning techniques.

EDUCATION:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

EXPERIENCE Desired:

• Fluent with cloud-based data science tools (AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, QuickSight; Azure OpenAI Studio, etc.)
• Building automated data classification systems.
• Experienced with database architectures and structures including SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.
