The Arbella ETL Developer III will be responsible for creating and updating Extract Transform Load (ETL) related programs and processes for Arbella's diverse personal insurance environment, which includes multiple policy, billing and management reporting applications. These applications run in the Arbella datacenter as well as in our expanding Microsoft Azure subscriptions. The role will provide support for existing ETL processes that run on an hourly, daily and monthly basis to move critically important data among our systems. This will involve resolving technical issues of varying complexity in a timely manner through an in depth understanding of ETL and an increasing knowledge of Arbella's environment.

The ETL Developer III will also assist in reviewing business requirements while developing functional and technical specifications to support our migration to new modern cloud based policy and payment processing systems. This work will be done by using the Informatica Powercenter application along with other common data moving tools such as Talend, SQL Loader and Python. The position is part of a diverse team located in the Arbella home office in Quincy MA with a flexible work environment allowing for a schedule that includes a great office environment and multiple days a week working from home.

Key Requirements:

• Design, customize, and implement ETL workflows and processes.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within all aspects of the ETL environment
• Perform application testing of configurations and customizations.
• Participate in analysis sessions to determine application requirements
• Assist in leading small and medium sized development efforts.
• Application code programming (including testing and debugging code at the unit test level)
• Application support (including after hours and on-call 24/7 coverage on a rotational basis)
• Maintain proficiency in the applicable programming languages and development tools
• Maintain updated system configuration artifacts and process documentation
• Production Implementation support

Key Requirements:

• 5 + years of experience as an ETL developer
• 3 + years of experience with Informatica Powercenter and Python
• Oracle and SQL Server relational database experience

Preferred Experience:

• Agile development experience (SCRUM, SAFe)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments
• Experience working with mainframe environments
• Property and Casualty Insurance domain experience
