ETL Developer Lead

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic ETL Developer Lead with deep expertise in Azure Data Factory to lead our ETL development efforts and work closely with one of our prestigious banking clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading ETL projects, driving data integration strategies, and hands-on experience with Microsoft’s Azure platform. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to integrate and transform data across various platforms.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of ETL developers, ensuring best practices are followed and mentoring junior team members.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to define data integration requirements and develop solutions that align with business objectives.
• Optimize ETL pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring robust data workflows.
• Oversee data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process, implementing quality control measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Document ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications, ensuring clear communication across teams.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data integration and ETL processes, advising on potential improvements.

What will it take to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in ETL development, with at least 3 years in a lead role, focusing on Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and relational databases.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide a team toward success.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Superior communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with banking or financial services environments is an asset.
