Event Content Coordinator
Job Description
The Customer Management Practice (CMP) is an event and market research firm focused exclusively on the dynamic customer management sector. Informed by unmatched market research, our live events and digital products supply customer management and CX executives with the industry insight, business trends, and best practices to turn their customers into raving fans.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in the conference industry, your pals think you're so curious that you could give George a run for his money, and your English teachers looked forward to reading your papers - look no further; this is the job for you.
Job Description
This role is a rare opportunity to join the team that produces Customer Contact Week, the world's largest and most prestigious customer management and CX event series.
This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on new program development and management for The Customer Management Practice (CMP)'s Exchange and Design Thinking Division.Alongside our whip-smart analyst team, they'll investigate industry trends, recruit and manage executive-level speakers, and design conference programs that represent the most critical topics facing leaders in the customer contact sector.
We'll train the successful candidate on the fundamentals of market research (with executives across the Fortune 1000) and the art (and science) of conference production, all to prepare them to be a full-fledged analyst/conference director and lead programs of their own.
And that's just the beginning. The Event Content Coordinator will also enjoy these incredible benefits:
- A coveted role on a world-class team of innovative, energetic, (and surprisingly fun) event and market research pros that will constantly share their expertise and challenge you to improve your skills.
- Rapid career progression on a team that prioritizes internal mobility.
- Competitive, fair and transparent compensation through a base salary and bonus program.
- The unique opportunity to build a network of relationships with top executives at Fortune 1000 companies.
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate is interested in starting their career in the conference industry and will bring a consistent track record of demonstrating these traits in a professional setting:
- High achievement. You're self-motivated, goal-oriented, and confident. You don't just hit goals; you exceed them.
- You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and can adapt your communication style to suit different audiences. Writing and editing are significant parts of this job. It's critical that you're a strong writer and, just as importantly, that you enjoy doing it.
- Passion is your middle name. Ok, technically speaking, you can have any middle name or none at all. We saw this on a coffee mug, and we knew right away that it belonged in this job description.
- You're persistent. When faced with challenges, failure isn't an option. Here's another one we borrowed... from Apollo 13. Essentially, we mean, when the seas get rough, you're the type who grabs the helm and steers the ship to calmer waters.
- You strive for a high level of accuracy and pay close attention to detail.
- The ten folks who know you best would describe you as one of the most organized people they know.
- You have a voracious appetite for feedback. You're coach-able, creative, and flexible.
- Successful applicants are likely to possess a bachelor's degree.
