The Opportunity
The Berkadia Event Team is responsible for leading the strategic direction, creative vision, and execution of a variety of programs throughout the year including industry conferences, client events, internal production meetings, retreat-based experiences, webinars, and bespoke events. The Event Coordinator is responsible for coordinating internal and external events while supporting the Event Team. The ideal candidate is energized by the fast-paced world of events and enjoys all aspects of coordinating an event. They are a creative problem solver who will go above and beyond to support the team and help them deliver a high caliber event experience for our clients, both internal and external.
- Partners with event managers on Tier I & II internal and client facing events, transportation, food & beverage, registration.
- Leads the planning and coordination of local and regional events, including but not limited to internal trainings, client events, tradeshows, industry conferences, and webinars
- Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process for all event types.
- Maintain and coordinate shipments of all event supplies supporting the inventory management process.
- Assists with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, processing invoices, and special projects as assigned.
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- One to three years prior experience in a similar position.
- One to three years of event management experience
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) a plus, but not required!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and rise to the occasion, maintaining calm under pressure and stressful situations
- Highly organized and detail oriented, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
- Cvent experience preferred
- Experience in commercial real estate industry preferred
- Ability to build strong working relations with customers and coworkers alike
