Job Description
The Events Manager helps distinguish NCQA as a dynamic and engaging force in health care by leading areas of logistical planning for Quality Talks, Health Innovation Summit, Speakers Bureau and other high-profile activities. The Events Manager provides creative planning and execution of assigned areas for in-person and virtual events. but are not limited to coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, working with Director to execute project plans, event location identification and registration logistics.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the project management and logistical planning for Quality Talks
- Support the project management and logistical planning of the Health Innovation Summit
- Support other departments and teams in the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events
- Management and execution of the Speakers Bureau
Requirements:
- College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in a similar or related position with responsibility for conference and events planning and execution
- 3+ years project management experience
- 2+ years management experience
- Demonstrated experience with contract negotiation, housing and hotel management, event registration systems and exhibits floor planning.
- Experience in vendor management, reporting and events data analysis
- Strong communication, writing, editing, analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and negotiation skills to inform the organization and move it strategically forward.
- Strong project management skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects.
