About the Opportunity

The Events Operations Associate will report to the Director, Events and Digital, and will sit in the events team. Their primary role is to support the Director and Event Managers in all operational needs; general inbox management, meeting scheduling, inventory management, venue/technology research. This position will also support the Registration Manager as needed with event registration needs.

Core Responsibilities

In this role you will work on:

Event Operations

  • Support the Director, Events & Digital on pre- and post-event tasks.
  • Attends, helps prepare for, and takes notes at meetings as requested.
  • Manage generic email accounts for CGI, daily review and cleanup of inbox, support in sending attendee communications.
  • Research event venues, formats, technology, etc.
  • Maintain the initiative’s events calendar for visibility across team members
  • Provide event support through on-site event attendance (if applicable), and virtual event planning and development.
  • Support internal team coordination: Coordinate meetings, offsites and various internal events.

Event Registration

  • Support the Event Registration Manager with reporting and updating lists.
  • Send attendee communications.
  • Follow up on attendee registrations.

Minimum Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years’ professional experience in the field required; background in events preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Project or similar project management program.
  • Ability to work in a varying schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, and work on multiple time zones, as necessary.

Compensation & Benefits

Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $43 – 48K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely.  We look forward to discussing our compensation pricing strategy, and your expectations, throughout the interview process.
