Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, ops, product marketing) to develop event strategies and experiences that align with overall Zayo marketing/sales strategy

  • Define, evaluate and report on events success metrics

  • Collaborate with events marketing team to continually fine tune best practices and standards across all events and then build on them for future event planning, execution and measurement

  • Build individual event strategies including identifying event goals, audiences, attendee journey and more ensuring that the strategy aligns event priorities to an integrated customer journey throughout the year

  • Assist with event and content strategies across business groups including product marketing, brand, customer marketing, sales, and field teams

  • Lead market research efforts around event trends and events targeted to Zayo customer profile

  • Assist on all global event reporting including post-event surveys, measurement recaps and more

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure positioning, messaging, goals, deliverables, and tactics are achieved before, during, and after each respective event

  • Build strong follow up programs that cross promote marketing campaigns and help sales move leads through the funnel more quickly

  • Create, manage and reconcile budgets

  • Foster feedback loop with cross-functional teams to continually measure event effectiveness โ€“ define and refine event metrics as part of overall marketing effectiveness

  • Build tight work-back schedules and manage cross-functional workgroups and ensure on time completion of deliverables

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • At least 3 years of enterprise event management experience.

  • Exceptional project management skills and experience, including managing multiple internal stakeholders, external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects.

  • Ability to multitask and take the lead on event strategy and planning several events simultaneously

  • Experience gaining the support from senior stakeholders

  • Independent, self-starter who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines

  • Familiarity with competitive event landscape

  • Marketing experience in a high-tech company/product/service strongly preferred

  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional global organization

Base pay range: $65,000 - $95,000, commensurate with experience.
