ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Lead planner, executor and optimizer of all B2B event content, communication and attendee strategies
  • Establish the demand generation strategy for in person events improving prospect attendees to sales close productivity and delivering on event MQL targets 
  • Determine and implement retention strategies to deliver against reduction in vendor churn goals as applicable through event experiences
  • Develop a measurement framework to determine event value throughout the customer journey that is driven by in person experiences 
  • Build all event communication plans in collaboration with events team to include timeline and value propositions while testing creative ways to boost registration
  • Design event programming including booking and collaborating with speakers to create valuable content that engages attendees
  • Seek out new industry partnership opportunities with strategic organizations to drive brand & product relevancy and awareness
  • Negotiate legal contracts and serve as liaison between event speakers and internal staff leading up to and during all events
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and build necessary content information such as agenda development, speaker descriptions, speaker bios and photos
  • Research and thoroughly understand WeddingPro’s product offering and services as well as issues pertinent to the wedding industry
  • Identify opportunities to tie existing WeddingPro products and services into event content
  • Repurpose event content into thought leadership materials like videos, blogs, infographic and social media following WeddingPro events
  • Continuously evaluate events and processes; recommending new content formats to enhance attendees’ experience and implement as directed
  • Operationalize process for internal speakers to pitch themselves at small industry events and work cross-functionally to ensure education is in alignment with the rest of B2B
  • Be in the know on all industry education and seek out new brand and educational opportunities for WeddingPro to be a part of
  • In partnership with events team, execute event sponsorships including speaker selection, deck building and travel coordination

Successful Event Strategy & Partnerships Marketing Manager Candidates Have:

  • Proven marketing and events experience: 5-7+ years experience in executing event campaigns that drive product adoption and build brand awareness, ideally within the wedding industry
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Extremely strong relationship builder, able to communicate effectively internally and externally. Creates buy-in amongst many different teams and has extraordinary attention to detail in crafting thoughtful communications
  • Strong project management skills: No one can keep track of details like you can. You love bringing a project to life, but even more so, you love making sure all the puzzle pieces fit together perfectly (and at the right time!)
  • Ability to mindset shift: Has the creative vision to plan and achieve the big picture while translating those big picture ideas into reality
  • Accountability focused:  You are data-obsessed and love to constantly optimize performance and find ways to measure the impact & magic of events
  • Passionate about small businesses: You understand the wins and woes of owning a small business and wake up every day ready to help small businesses get to the next level
