Events Coordinator
Skilled Wound Care, a leading national surgical physician group servicing nursing homes for wound care, is looking for an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to plan and run all our events. Our events occur both on and off site, and the Events Coordinator will have the responsibility of managing all events for the organization, start-to-finish. A successful candidate will be extremely organized and be able to manage the logistics of multiple events simultaneously. Responsibilities for the Event Coordinator include meeting with vendors to work out event details, plan with the vendors, scout and book locations, food, entertainment, communication with attendees, staffing the event and finally cleanup.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues.
- Understanding the complex needs of different events and diverse clients – office staff, physicians, field staff, customers, nurses and others.
- Planning event aspects, such as venue, seating, dining, and guest list.
- Ability to seek extra help for event planning tasks from other staff members where necessary.
- Strong knowledge of venues and vendor offerings.
- Coordinating event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers.
- Attentive to the value of staying under budget while planning event specifications.
- Issuing invoices and processing payments in a timely manner and creating comprehensive and readable financial reports.
- Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, organizing vendors, and managing take-down.
- Communicating with marketing team to create effective advertisements for each event.
- Anticipating and planning for different scenarios.
- Creating sales opportunities for future events at every possible opportunity.
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to present event ideas and plans to leadership and vendors.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of event planning experience
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
- Excellent Communication Skills – very clear in giving instructions.
- A very high level of organization and discipline.
- Excellent skills for team influencing, motivating teammates, performance management and decision making.
- Creativity in making our events fun and memorable.
- Is highly conscientious.
- Ability and willingness to travel across the nation as needed.
- Ability to work with budgets and reports.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation
- Must be able to carry/lift various products up to 10 lbs

Day to day work includes desk and personal computer work and interaction with multiple departments and physicians.The position requires travel to cities across the USA. Travel to regional, Division and Corporate meetings may be required.
