Events Manager

The Role

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is seeking an Events Manager to join its Global Communications team. This individual will develop and deliver strategy and coordination of internal and external global events. Reporting to the Global Head of Communications, the candidate is highly collaborative with the ability to work with colleagues throughout all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated and has a can-do attitude.                                                                                                                                                                                                         

What you’ll do 

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning and organizing all aspects of internal and external meetings and events globally
• Collaborating with external constituents/vendors and internal partners to align and carry out strategic direction
• Investigating, sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating hotels, vendors and other meeting services while leading logistics of program functions, including but not limited to space set-up, music, food and beverage, transportation, etc.
• Coordinating and supervising AV/production and auxiliary technical services to ensure successful execution of in-person events
• Facilitating attendee experience through registration site design, event promotion and communications, and attendee management to support needs related to meeting attendance
• Addressing all aspects of budget and billing, including development of and balancing against budgets, identification and quantification of cost savings/cost avoidance efforts, reconciling master bills, coordinating payment to vendors, and managing meeting expenses
• Managing all aspects of the day-of events with a complete run-of-show and all stakeholder communication

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of demonstrated corporate event management experience, preferably in Financial Services
• Strong project management and interpersonal communications skills
• Understand regulatory and compliance guidelines around events and budget thresholds
• Learn and apply Schonfeld’s branding elements to all initiatives
• Comfortable collaborating with C-Suite level executives
• Travel between Miami, NYC and London and other locations as required
