Events Manager - (REMOTE, USA)

As a member of the Marketing team, your purpose is to lead the logistics and event execution arm of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences North America (BEC LS NA) industry events, including conferences, trade shows, and other trade-relevant meetings.
You will meet Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Events' strategy and positioning as a premium brand in logistics delivery and Brand presence at 10-15 On-Premises trade shows and events.
You will manage the annual schedule and execution timelines, build the necessary tools, and find new ways and places to make a unique trade impression for the Brand where it matters.
Additionally, you will manage On-Premise trade show activations, manage vendor relationships for development, manage and maintain ready-to-use toolkits for smaller shows, and facilitate and lead internal training to reinforce standard work to achieve proper field execution trade engagements.
You will report to the Director of Brand, External Communications, and Customer Experience.
COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION
- Follow Event best practices (strategy through execution) as established by Danaher Tradeshow and Events Community of Practice and Life Sciences Innovation Group (LSIG) for the selection and execution of trade events.
- Collaborate with Commercial & Non-Commercial Key Accounts, Trade Marketing, and organizers to define the strategy and event requirements.
- Communicate with all departments and partners about changes to the timeline and scope.
- Remove communication or logistics barriers and connect the dots to keep the projects moving.
- Join appropriate trade events groups, networks, and communities.
- Maintain, Train, and enforce the use of and adherence to BEC LS Event standard work related to the execution of events (Compliance/Budget Approval, Annual and Ad-Hoc event request process, Monthly Event calendar meeting, Toll Gate process for events)
- Prioritize, manage, and execute event projects with minimal supervision.
PLANNING
- Research and present concepts and ideas to the essential internal and external partners
- Present and manage budgets and negotiate contracts.
- Plan the layout and collaborate with vendors to determine their booth requirements.
- Own and maintain trade show and event action plans and facilitate work with all departments from pre-production to post-production.
- Coordinate the logistical requirements such as asset/infrastructure delivery and hiring of vendors.
- Work cross-functionally with the Brand team to ensure the shows meet global and local brand standards.
- Research industry best practices, current trends, and competitors, and make recommendations for new opportunities.
- Monitor market and competitor trends to develop proposals and decisions on best spending of annual trade show budget (across all departments)
EXECUTION
- Deliver excellent trade show execution at the industry's most impactful on-premise trade events.
- Manage and oversee the on-site execution of larger channel-specific trade shows in Life Sciences spaces.
- Advise Vertical/Product Line Account teams and On-Premise Trade Marketing staff in the execution of trade events.
- Establishes and tracks program metrics focused on budget, engagement, and the contributions of trade show events to the BEC LS business priorities.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ Years of experience with tradeshows, events, and hospitality event management
- Experience with and knowledge of the On-Premise B2B or Life Sciences industry
- Production and project management experience
- Experience with supplier and vendor negotiation and management
- Experience with budget tracking and expense reconciliation

**Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000 plus a 10% bonus, benefits, and medical beneifts starting day one.**
