As a Systems Engineer within our Space Destinations Sector, you would use your skills and expertise to design, architect, model, simulate, certify, and improve cutting edge products and services. You would be working closely with a strong team, developing complex system architectures, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test. The company is evolving rapidly, and the Systems Engineering group looking to identify Systems Engineers at multiple experience levels with experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
Systems Engineering & Integration Support for:

• Systems Integration/Systems Analysis
• Environmental Control and Life Support
• Thermal Control/Thermal Analysis
• Cybersecurity
• Assembly and Test
• Electrical Power
• Communications
• Command & Data Handling
• Launch Vehicle Integration
• Guidance, Navigation, and Control
• Propulsion
• System Autonomy and Fault Management
• Requirements Gathering
• Verification & Validation

Note: These roles are expected to be on-site and in the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area (Broomfield, CO or Centennial, CO).
Must-haves:

• Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field or related discipline and typically the following years of relevant experience noting that higher education may be considered in lieu of experience:
• Systems Engineer Level I: 0-2 years
• Systems Engineer Level II: Typically, two (2) or more years
• Systems Engineer Level III: Typically, six (6) or more years
• Senior Systems Engineer: Typically, a minimum of 10 (ten) or more years
• Principal Systems Engineer: Typically, a minimum of 14 (fourteen) or more years
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Practical knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices
• Skill working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with performing trades, thinking big picture, and weighing many potential impacts.
• Skilled at working in fast-paced environment and managing priorities and level of detail to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
• Practical knowledge of industry standard design principles
• Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
• Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting.
• Experience with computer-aided design or similar software
• Background in the Aerospace/Defense industries
• Experience with spaceflight or space systems
• Experience with design for human safety
• Skilled at working in diverse and complex teams, leading through uncertainty and building up team members to promote collaboration.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,552.10 - $165,759.14. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
