GENERAL FUNCTION:

Handles small to medium scale design projects, creative documentation, and acts as design support for the EWS design team. Collaborates with other teams as needed, supporting real estate requests and project team execution. Ensure excellent records of all design decisions and selections are kept and available to other teams as needed (property management, project team, etc.). Create visuals to support design decisions. Track and manage design metrics.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute feasibility studies for the real estate team.
  • Create space planning schematics for small and medium sized workplace projects.
  • Work with architectural firms as needed for medium scale design projects, and execute design development internally on small scale projects.
  • Help develop finish palettes.
  • Support design team by creating design presentations, assisting with tactical tasks related to various projects.
  • Create design presentation collateral as needed (SketchUp, Adobe CS, PowerPoint).
  • Capture finish palettes and final drawings and documentation for projects.
  • Capture design metrics.
  • Create polylines in updated drawings and link to CAFM system (FM:Systems).
  • Manage drawing repository, ensuring drawing standards are adhered to.
  • Manage design library and exposure to industry representatives.
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of various standards and guidelines.
  • Assume additional related responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Design (BS or BA) degree required (interior design, interior architecture, or architecture).
  • Graphic Design minor is preferred.
  • NCIDQ certification, or intent to pursue, is desired.
  • Minimum two to five (2-5) years' experience is desired.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Exceptional visual communication skills required.
  • Strong space planning skills required; experience space planning with systems furniture strongly preferred.
  • AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite skill required.
  • Moderate to excellent sketching skills is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of human behavior in workplace and retail environments is desired.
  • Commercial finish palette development and application is required.
  • Understanding of building codes as they pertain to space planning is required.
  • Experience working with A+D firms is desired.
  • Experience with FM: Systems or other CAFM system preferred.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a high degree of professionalism is required.
  • Detail oriented and ability to manage many projects at once.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like;
  • Extended viewing of computer screen;
  • Overnight travel may be required on rare occasions.
