Executive Assistant to the CEO

CEO/Co-Founder Overview:

It is anticipated that Meati will experience a $1 billion run in 2025 through IPO and beyond.

The Role: 

Calling all strategic executive partners! This is not your traditional EA role.

The EA will join the Executive Operations team and work in lockstep with the Director of Executive Operations, functioning as a strategic logistical partner in support of Tyler Huggins, CEO and Co-Founder. The Executive Operations team shares a commitment to impeccable standards and relationships built on trust, care, and transparent communication. The EA will facilitate the time and space for Tyler and the Director of Executive Operations to focus on Tyler’s overall vision and creativity. This person is not a gatekeeper, but a collaborator who facilitates access to the CEO at all levels of the company, while ensuring priorities are being targeted and met.

As Meati is a startup in its early stages, the candidate will enter a high-pace, high volume, and highly autonomous work environment. Operating lean, every member of the team is looked to as an expert and leader within their scope and the EA will be relied upon to lead strategy on everything from calendaring to logistical management for Board of Directors and VIP stakeholders. 

Responsibilities: 

• Strategically manage the CEO’s time to ensure his time is aligned with his priorities and those priorities are being met
  • Manage a busy, complex calendar, making sure time-sensitive changes are resolved and communicated in a timely manner
  • Provide task management support and reminders to hold the CEO accountable
  • Ensure agendas and pre-reads are in place in advance of each meeting
  • Collect and prioritize agendas, pre-reads, and briefing documents from internal and external sources for CEO to review in advance of meetings
  • Prioritize responsibilities and do whatever it takes to increase productivity and efficiency for the CEO
• Provide high-touch support to VIP external stakeholders (BOD, investors, HNWIs, etc.)
  • Travel, lodging, and ground transportation coordination
  • Create detailed itineraries for guests
• Assist with meeting preparation, take notes, capture and follow up on action items.
• Book and arrange travel, create itineraries, and manage details to ensure trips run smoothly
• Plan and handle end-to-end logistics for all-hands meetings, external meetings with senior executives, board meetings, internal events, and team off-sites (as needed)
• Build out and manage team of executive assistants who will support the rest of the C Suite and Executive Leadership Team
• CEO expense reconciliation and report management
• Own special projects as needed
• Prepare communications, documents, and presentations as needed
• Constantly seek ways to improve operational excellence
• Be a genuine champion and a significant driver of a caring and motivated company culture. 

Qualifications:

• Passion for Meati’s mission and product
• 5+ years supporting Founder/CEO of a high-growth startup or within an equally high paced, high volume, highly autonomous environment
• Skilled at managing up - you remember the details and can hold the CEO accountable on priorities and tasks. 
• Experience building and managing a team of EAs
• Proven ability to develop, document, and teach processes
• Proven ability to handle confidential information, VIP stakeholders, and sensitive situations with discretion, confidentiality, and exceptional judgment
• Strong, clear written and verbal communicator. You communicate quickly, clearly, concisely, and frequently
• “24/7” level of commitment with flexibility to perform some job duties outside of normal business hours as needed
• Willingness to stretch outside role to help on additional projects
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and 365 Suite)
• Can commit to 25% travel (if not based in Boulder, CO)
• High EQ with expert relationship management skills
• High energy, enthusiasm, and authentic dedication to service
• Creative problem solver able to think in an unexpected way

Compensation:

Range is $115,200 - $158,400, including potential target incentive bonus and equity. Actual pay will be based on experience.
