Executive Chef

Kitchen Chef (Full-Time, Salaried + Bonus Program) We are a start-up restaurant in our first year of operations and are seeking a Kitchen Chef to lead and grow with our team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee all kitchen operations while also stepping in to cook as needed. Responsibilities • Lead and manage a team of 3 part-time cooks. • Manage the team and kitchen independently without direct supervision — self-manage when the owner is not present. • Develop and execute menu items with creativity and consistency. • Source quality ingredients and manage supplier relationships. • Maintain kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost controls. • Establish, document, and uphold kitchen standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. • Cook and manage service when scheduled as the only kitchen staff member. • Collaborate with ownership to grow and evolve the kitchen operation as the restaurant expands. Requirements • Minimum 2 years of kitchen management experience. • Valid Food Manager Certification (must be maintained during employment). • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. • Ability to thrive in a start-up environment with flexibility and initiative. • Hands-on cooking ability with a passion for great food.
