Produce Alliance manages an alliance of 50+ independently owned specialty distributors of fresh products. Each distributor is carefully selected and commits to full compliance with our audited distribution, purchasing, and category management programs designed for client success. This position is remote or hybrid based out of one of our offices (Salinas, CA; Suwanee, GA; Greater Chicago). We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role. 

The Executive Client Growth Specialist handles the overall needs for assigned clients. They are a strategic partner/consultant to the customer and oversee the complete management of the account.  In this role, they will be responsible for driving customer growth and retention. The Executive Growth Specialist has overall ownership of the account, however, is still guided by the business developer on major re-negotiations, pricing updates, or any other large-scale issues or projects. 

Your impact:

  • Assists Business Developer through the acquisition of business.
  • Becomes the main point of contact after an account is acquired.
  • Manages account rollout, account maintenance, and growth.
  • Oversees ongoing client delivery and quality monitoring and works to resolve all client operational issues and concerns.
  • Collaborating with all Distributors to support account onboarding.
  • Plays an active role in furthering customer purchases by monitoring and reviewing compliance.
  • Collaborates across multiple teams, including Procurement, Food Safety, Member Services, and IT, to support the customer’s requests.
  • Hosts customers at conferences and events
  • Develops profitability and cost savings analyses and leads business review presentations.
  • Plays an active role in identifying opportunities appropriate to relinquish control, for account delegation to customer support.
  • Provides market insights to the account by evaluating the weekly market conditions alongside customers high use items to provide recommendations, possible subs, and other solutions.

  • Stay-up-to date with industry trends and best practices.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Up to 20% travel required
  • Proficient in managing account relationships.
  • Accurate attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering value-added support to clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including adept management of multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to assist clients beyond normal business hours as required.
  • Proactively assess and anticipate customer needs through critical thinking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and internal systems.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 2-3 years of Account Management experience required
