Job Description

The Executive Development Facilitation Lead will lead facilitation for Cox Enterprises Executive Development flagship portfolio of experiences: Elevate, Aperture, and Vista. Looking for a facilitator who can sometimes play the role of coach, integrator, and potentially subject matter expert on certain topics.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning & Leadership Development, the Executive Development Facilitation Lead will be charged with expertly delivering our high-impact, high-profile, signature executive development experiences for the senior leaders at Cox.
This leader will act as a coach and facilitate to senior executives across the enterprise to drive valuable and measurable results through the signature executive development courses curated by the executive learning and development team. This role requires an innovative and experienced self-starter with the confidence and capability to guide our senior-most executives through real-life scenarios and content.
Through proactive stakeholder management, s/he/they serve as a true partner to program leaders (our Exec. L&D team) and customers (our executive leadership team), personally believing that behind every top-notch business has a world-class executive development experience.
Responsibilities
  • Lead experiences that engage senior executives, develop key leadership competencies, drive performance and behavior change, and enhance executive effectiveness
  • Brings to life a unified, enterprise-aligned executive development strategy and program; considers, yet looks beyond, our current ways of working to understand new and industry-leading executive development best practices
  • Works closely with the executive development portfolio lead, external faculty, and others to continuously improve and evolve the budding experiences to align to both the company vision, Empowered People behaviors and principles, and the executive development goal of building agility and resiliency
  • Proactively collaborates with subject matter experts to enhance and reinforce content
  • Provides transparent coaching and feedback to senior executives to support their ongoing development
  • Uses expertise to challenge participants when and where appropriate
  • Utilizes a variety of progressive facilitation techniques to engage participants before, during, and after the experience
  • Continuously evaluates effectiveness and engagement and proactively make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborates with portfolio lead to track success of executive development through metrics including NPS for each program, seats made available/seats utilized, number of executives who have completed, leadership effectiveness for executives who have completed, and other relevant metrics
  • Proactively builds and maintains relationships with executive participants to support their ongoing development
  • Stays current with emerging trends in executive development and adult learning to inform future program iterations
  • Facilitates, coaches, moderates, and coordinates as needed and must be able to fluidly and seamlessly move between these different roles
  • Develops a feedback mechanism with a strategic cadence of touch points to facilitate open discussions about executive development experience improvement and opportunities with participants, Exec. L&D leaders, and project stakeholders
  • Researches and has a natural curiosity around internal and external business drivers that impact and influence participants of the program; with the intention to add value and purpose through program facilitation that relates to real-world scenarios

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years years with a combination of experience in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Executive Coaching, and/or a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years of experience, a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience with a combination of experience in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Executive Coaching, and/or a related field.
  • A sincere passion for leadership development, with 3+ years lof eadership development facilitation experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning principles and facilitation techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with senior executives
  • Strong ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Stellar executive presence, with a polished/articulate communication style and an ability to inspire confidence among senior leaders and diversely motivated stakeholders
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; a knack for adjusting communication style to various audiences
    • Commitment and enthusiasm to take on complex, challenging situations in a dynamic organization; ability to envision, articulate, and realize both improvements and solutions in a facilitator and program partner capacity
    • Desire and ability to build rapport with employees at all levels of the organization; proven ability to positively motivate, lead, and build consensus across both direct reporting teams and matrixed internal and external partners
    • Understands and effectively maneuvers through the politics associated with large companies; able to address the complexities associated with the decision-making process
    • Exceptional judgment in making sound decisions quickly and efficiently
    • Confidence and effectiveness in dealing with senior leaders and in public speaking
    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
    • Shows passion, energy, intensity, and excitement
    • Adheres to the highest standards of integrity

Preferred
  • Coaching certification or extensive experience in a coaching capacity
  • Experience with Design Thinking. Can coach/facilitate around exploring customer empathy and developing prototypes
  • An advanced degree such as an MBA is highly desirable, but not required
