Executive Director - Global Filtration Operations

Description

We are looking for a talented, dynamic Executive Director - Global Filtration Operations to join our team specializing in operational excellence for our Cummins Filtration Business Segment headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. The role is designated offsite , allowing you to work from your home office and requires an average of 25% overall travel.

This role will have significant short- and long-term strategic impact on the enterprise, as it serves as:
  • Key decision maker for the short- and long-term management of Capacity and Capital and the strategic thinking behind the long-term manufacturing plans for our business
  • Executive leader for 6 manufacturing plants in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia as well as dotted line support to 2 other locations in Asia and multiple JV plants for manufacturing and manufacturing engineering expertise
  • Leader of global operational excellence, continuous improvement, and safety, quality, delivery, and cost at our plants.
  • Global leader of facilities/real estate and security across all plants, warehouses, technical centers, and offices

In this role, the Executive Director will make an impact in the following ways:
  • While reporting to the Executive Director Global Supply Chain, you will lead and deliver multiple key initiatives across the enterprise
  • Provides overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of global operations
  • Partners with business executives to identify short and long-term program plans; develops and maintains strong relationships across the organization
  • Drives the establishment of objectives, plans, standards, risk identification, and policies ensuring successful implementation of all phases of Operations management for a major business enterprise.
  • Directs the assessment of Plant Manager capabilities
  • Formulates annual operational and financial budgets as they relate to Operations objectives and sets short and long term KPI's for the plants.
  • Develops, leads, and motivates staff; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning

Education
  • College, university, or equivalent bachelor's degree in cybersecurity operations, required
  • Deep technical knowledge of operational excellence, required
  • 8-10 years cross business unit experience in a highly complex, matrix organization, required

Experience
  • Significant managerial and budgetary experience required
  • Strong experience leading strategic and change efforts
  • Strong experience working across multiple functional areas required; must have a command of operational excellence and ability to train and/or mentor this skill
  • Broad understanding of key functional processes and practices; demonstrated experience sponsoring large complex projects and process redesign
  • Excellent communicator with prior plant management experience in a high volume environment; broad diverse experiences in other parts of the supply chain is highly preferred
  • A strategic leader who will set the aims for the future and deliver results towards business and functional goals; does not hesitate to challenge the status quo
  • People coach and developer, at the next level and with future leaders
  • Self-starter with strong initiative to do the right thing and to do things right; builder of strong teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
  • Must be an expert in building business case for investments as well as driving consensus across the organization, a strong collaborator across the function and business
  • Perhaps most importantly, thought leadership experience in high volume low-cost automation and evolving technologies is required

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $225,000-$275,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
