Blue Canyon Technologies, RTX's small satellite manufacturer and mission services provider, is solving some of the toughest challenges in space. Title: Executive Director of Operations

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $150,000 - $281,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Position Purpose: The Executive Director of Operations will optimize the operating capabilities and employ strategies to improve efficiencies and execution of BCT Operations. The Exec. Dir. Of Ops is responsible for the day-to-day operations across all of BCT to ensure that we are delivering our products on time, on budget and on quality. In addition, this individual assist in compiling the company's budget, managing capital, and employ strategies to not only maximize use of BCT resources & assets, but also to grow capacity & capabilities. You will lead a team leaders across manufacturing, test, quality, and supply chain to implement business strategies and execute on commitments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the overall operations of the company
  • Working together with key participants to compile the budget and manage capital
  • Spearheading strategies to steer the company's future in a positive direction
  • Driving the company's operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and

company goals

  • Controlling company costs, and introducing tactical initiatives to improve efficiencies and utilization of resources
  • Mentor staff members to grow and develop as leaders
  • Employing various initiatives to coach employees to optimize their capabilities
  • Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies, and collaborating with other leaders regarding the implementation of these improvements
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach, assign accountabilities, set objective, establish priorities, monitor and evaluate results
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Fifteen years of experience managing a complex enterprise's human resources, finances, operations, and strategies
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous complex enterprise
  • Proven track record of managing complex budgets successfully
  • Demonstrated experience of ethical leadership
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
  • Ability to make business projections 3-5 years into the future
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require BCT to shorten or extend the application window.
