Overview: The Executive Director-Operational Strategy plays a critical role in supporting multiple initiatives throughout the Ministry, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, ambulatory and retail care along with other growth initiatives. This role requires heavy emphasis on collaboration and communication with community leaders and must be comfortable working in a matrix organization. A hands-on leader who can help support important initiatives through thoughtful leadership, strategic thinking, and operational performance.
Strong acumen around operations and business management related to healthcare. Must be able to consult and influence senior business leaders at various levels on key strategic and tactical decisions. This role requires the ability to lead change, execute on business objectives in a collaborative and thoughtful way and have a bias for action.
A well-rounded understanding around the operations of healthcare in both ambulatory, clinic and hospital landscape.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare or other leadership experience. Demonstrated experience in process improvement, change management, and developing sustainable growth strategies.
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration or similar area of study.
- Other:
- Organized, reliable self-starter with strong strategic and creative thinking, analytical, problem solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Distinctive problem-solving skills (conceptual, analytical, quantitative)
- Innovative and creative thinking balanced with pragmatism (big picture thinking)
- Highly analytical and strategic
- Drives for results in prioritized manner (balanced sense of urgency)
- Highly resourceful, Agile, collaborative, financial acumen
- Ability to relay strategic insight to stakeholders and convert those insights into action
- Ability to travel as needed
