Executive Director, Sampling Strategy and Operations
Job Description
The Executive Director of Sample Strategy and Operations is responsible for implementing and leading all aspects of Amplify's sample design, production, and implementation processes.
This role will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align processes and roadmaps for samples. The primary objectives of the position are to reduce sample costs and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Amplify sampling.
This role requires a leader who is detailed and has deep expertise in K-12 sales, sampling, and supply chain. The individual will need to be organized and results-driven. Especially during peak seasons, the Director will act as the main point of contact for any issues related to samples, spearhead problem resolution and crisis response, and raise concerns early and proactively to Amplify leadership to find solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development in defining objectives and developing plans for effective sampling solutions.
- Drives cost efficiencies and increases in sample efficacy through the design and execution of sample programs.
- Coordinates with the Supply Chain to advise outside vendors in the development and manufacturing of sample structures and production to work within cost constraints and meet project schedules.
- Collaborates with product managers to ensure that print and digital sample strategies are aligned and to develop strategies to increase the adoption of digital samples.
- Owns the flow of sample projects between Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Acts as liaison between Product Development, Sales, and outside vendors to ensure that sample direction and schedule meet client expectations.
- Works with Sales, Bids & Proposals, and Supply Chain to develop and communicate production, assembly, and distribution plans that meet objectives, including state adoption campaigns.
- Collaborates with Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Sales, and Design in the development of packaging components and related promotional materials.
- Leads sample development schedules and acquires the appropriate approvals.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 8+ years of leadership experience in related positions
- Strong customer service skills, balancing multiple clients in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
- Experience in NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms
- Sophisticated proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, and G-Suite
- Analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience in leading strategy and implementation in the K-12 market is a strong plus
- Functional experience in marketing, sales, product development, or equivalent
Preferred Qualification:
- An orientation to service and ongoing learning
- Understanding of the education market and a passion for K-12 education
- Strategic problem solver with the ability to roll up sleeves to get work done when needed
- Experience in the field of education, school/district leadership, educational publishing/technology

The gross salary range for this role is $175,000 -$185,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
