Amplify's Training & Enablement organization is seeking an Executive Director, Training and Instructional Design to develop, lead, and implement an internal training program focused on ensuring customer-facing teams have the product, systems and process knowledge needed to optimize effectiveness and efficiency through the sales and implementation processes. This will be a pivotal role in the evolution of our new centralized training function. The Executive Director, Training and Instructional Design will report to the Associate Vice President, Training and Enablement, and will design an instructional framework utilizing best practices in adult learning, as well as lead a team of trainers to deliver compelling, high-quality training to all customer-facing teams in advance of back to school releases and on an ad hoc basis as needed.
We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for education, experience with adult learning best practices, especially in a largely remote environment, and can quickly become an expert on Amplify's suite of products and systems. To be successful in this role, you should have solid experience organizing trainings and designing educational curriculum. In this position, you will help create a strong culture of learning.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Amplify's framework for product, systems, and process training curricula using best in class design and development methodologies to provide effective solutions for adult learners through a variety of delivery channels (instructor-led, virtual, and asynchronous online)
- Manage team of internal trainers, broken out by areas of focus including Amplify's literacy products, STEM products, and business systems and processes, ensuring they plan and facilitate informative, effective, and engaging training sessions
- Design compelling training sessions for our customer-facing teams, including Sales, Customer Care & Support, Professional Services, and Customer Success, in order to equip them with the foundational knowledge necessary to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Collaborate with the AVP, Training & Enablement on a roadmap that includes timelines for designing training, receiving and incorporating feedback, finalizing, and delivering training sessions
- Evaluate impact and effectiveness of training by collecting, analyzing, and incorporating assessment data from participants and feedback from key stakeholders on session content, framework, and delivery
- Partner with customer-facing department leads to identify and monitor training needs across the organization, in order to develop strategies and propose learning solutions aligned to business goals
- Work with Amplify's product teams and product experts to develop a deep pedagogical understanding of our programs, from both a content and a digital perspective
- Work cross-functionally with product teams to understand upcoming content offerings and feature releases and incorporate into training programs and assets
- Maintain knowledge and expertise in K-8 literacy and science and K-12 math trends
- Work with Amplify's Business Systems team to develop expertise on the systems our customer-facing teams utilize most frequently, including Salesforce, NetSuite, Outreach, and others.
- Serve as key member of the leadership team building out the new Training & Enablement function at Amplify, focused on a cohesive approach to onboarding, training, communication, and documentation efforts
- Additional related projects to be assigned as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field
- 7+ years teaching, training, or enablement experience
- 7+ years of work experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Experience in creating training curricula and learning tools
- Experience creating assessments and analyzing results in order to identify knowledge gaps and training needs
- Proficiency with a variety of business systems, specifically Salesforce
- Proficiency with e-learning module creation tools and remote delivery platforms
- Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Education, Business, or related field
- Experience working in an Educational Technology company
- Experience teaching or training adults
- 5+ years CRM or Salesforce.com experience
- Familiarity with Amplify products, both content and digital platform and navigation
- Interest in enhancing industry and product knowledge through self-study, training, and experience
