Executive Producer and Managing Director, FINISH

Who are we?
Finish is a Post-Production House based in New York City. Our services extend from editing through VFX through sound and color finishing. We work with a best-in-class staff of in-house editors, colorists, and project managers, as well as a global network of animators, designers, and other specialty studios to be an end-to-end solution for brands’ post endeavors.
About this role:
As the Executive Producer & Managing Director at FINISH, you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for driving sales, fostering client relationships, and overseeing the successful execution of projects. Operating at the managing director level, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and growth of the company, leveraging your expertise in sales and production management to expand our client base and increase revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients and partners.
- Collaborate with the executive team to define target markets, product offerings, and pricing strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities, leveraging insights to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as the primary point of contact for their post-production needs.
- Anticipate client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on creative and technical aspects of post-production processes.
- Conduct regular check-ins and reviews to gather feedback and address any concerns, fostering long-term partnerships built on trust and mutual success.
Financial Management and P&L Oversight:

- Develop and manage annual budgets, revenue forecasts, and financial performance metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Monitor key financial indicators and performance metrics, analyzing variances and identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement cost-control measures and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, to the executive team and stakeholders.
Project Oversight and Production Management:
- Oversee the execution of post-production projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with the production team to allocate resources, manage workflows, and optimize project efficiencies.
- Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, facilitating clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, project managers, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members, empowering them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, where diversity is celebrated, and individual contributions are valued and recognized.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership and business development roles within the post-production or related industry, with a focus on creative services.
- Strong understanding of post-production processes, including editing, VFX, sound design, and color finishing, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to develop and execute sales plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Leadership experience at the managing director level or equivalent, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, film, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
Salary Range: $200,000-$250,000/ year based on relevant experience
