What You'll Do

• Active and responsible management of the project team from the central and business units in-house, including the foreign SMS group companies, as well as the consortium/partners involved, from the start of the contract to the successful acceptance of the plant (process control of major projects)
• Monitoring of project progress, taking into account qualitative and quantitative targets, as well as implementation of contractual obligations
• Cost and schedule planning and monitoring (controlling)
• Risk and deviation analyses, solution proposals and reporting to Executive Management
• Claim management to customers and suppliers
• Conducting negotiations with the customer and the involved partners domestic and abroad
• Reporting to the Executive Management
• Support of the customer

What You'll Need

You have a successfully completed degree in the field of mechanical, civil or construction engineering or a comparable education; important for us are:

• 10-20 years of experience managing large projects (100 mio +)
• Proven track record of professional experience in project management or construction
• Experience in managing major industrial projects (A-projects)
• Completed PMP certification (active)
• Confident handling of MS Office, project management software and ERP systems
• High degree of reliability and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work in a team with strong communication skills
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Open in dealing with people from other cultural backgrounds
• Business fluent English language skills
• Entrepreneurial thinking
• Willingness and ability to travel worldwide as required (including possible short term relocation)
