About You:Â
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, with 6+ years in a recruiting or talent role at a startup and/or tech company.Â
- A conviction that happy and productive teams are the key to any successful company.Â
- The ability to manage projects and programs from start to finish under tight deadlines, achieving buy-in and engaging the right stakeholders at every step of the way. Grace under pressure and strong prioritization skills are a must.Â
- A knack for using data to set goals, track outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience mentoring and partnering with team members and leaders across functions. Comfortable giving and receiving honest feedback and navigating tough conversations.Â
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- A bias for action. You’re naturally creative, curious, and inspired to learn new things.Â
Skills and experience:
- Full life cycle recruiting, talent management and strategy. The successful candidate will have experience hiring across many different departments and roles (technical, commercial, operational, etc.) and experience closing senior/leadership candidates. Expertise or familiarity with global hiring preferred.
- Deep understanding of how to implement, execute, and scale recruitment processes in a rapidly growing organization.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software and candidate databases. Knowledge of cutting-edge candidate sourcing tools and methods.
- Business acumen and deep market awareness (including status, trends, and best practices).
- The ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality while working with many stakeholders both within and outside of Tulip.
- Bonus: Some people management experience.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers from departments across Tulip, helping them develop a clear view of hiring needs and financial objectives. The ability to build strong, long-term relationships will be key.Â
- Define role criteria, write job descriptions, and document specifications for high-priority roles. Identify prospective candidates using various channels and constantly hone the company’s approach to finding top talent.Â
- Conduct confidential interviews and reference calls. Assess candidates for qualification match, cultural fit, and team compatibility at all stages of the recruitment process.
- Build format and cadence for presenting shortlisted candidates and profile summaries to hiring managers and Tulip leadership. Guide hiring managers through complex negotiation processes.Â
- Assist with candidate transitions and onboarding.Â
- Develop and implement a research strategy for staying up-to-date on the latest market trends and Tulip competitors. Train other members of the recruitment team on best practices.Â
