Executive Recruiting Manager
Job Description
K1 is seeking a driven, detail oriented, and personable Manager, Executive Recruiting to join our rapidly expanding Executive Recruiting/Talent team. In this role, you will work closely with our Practice Director, Recruiting, K1 deal partners and portfolio company CEO’s/founders to lead end-to-end executive searches across the K1 portfolio of 45+ enterprise SaaS companies and be responsible for bringing in “A” quality executive talent into the portfolio. This position is based out of our headquarters in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with portfolio company executives and K1 deal partners in leading executive searches end to end across the portfolio including phone/video/onsite interviews, managing all communication/coordination with candidates, scheduling/travel, conducting references/back channels, formal assessments, closing candidates, etc.
- Proactively introduce prospective candidates to both internal and external stakeholders. Maintain a pulse on the current and future needs of our companies- serve as a talent expert in the enterprise software space
- Participate in and manage K1’s “Center of Influence” executive networking events across the country to introduce prospective executives to K1 and our portfolio (i.e., past events have included Super Bowl, NBA Finals, Kentucky Derby, boxes at Staples and SoFi)
- ·Work with incoming executives on successfully onboarding into K1 and the portfolio- pitching executives on value of becoming part of the “K1 family”
- ·Implement additional best practices for executive recruiting around interview framework/interview training for new CEO’s/founders and help to develop and track additional metrics for the portfolio/K1 around hiring/retention/performance management/compensation/etc.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of executive recruiting/recruiting experience, with a background in sourcing, evaluating, and placing executive level candidates. Experience working in the software/SaaS market is a strong plus.
- Strong communicator with ability to interact with portfolio company executives and K1 investment partners and exercise high degree of confidence, professionalism, maturity, confidentiality, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- High sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure startup environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines and stakeholders- will need to be a quick learner and “figure things out” on the fly
- Exceptional organization skills and detail orientation- ability to maintain, grow, and build a network of enterprise software/SaaS executives that are relevant for the K1 portfolio
- Experience working with LinkedIn, social media, ATS systems, job boards
