Executive Sales Director, Finance
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Work with marketing and research to develop the finance category strategy for Hearst
- Secure key meetings within the finance category with clients and agency leads
- Develop and maintain senior level client relationships
- Achieve sales revenue goals leveraging digital, social, print and experiential opportunities
- Work collaboratively with all teams within the organization
- Identify editorial needs for the category in order to achieve the aforementioned sales goals
- Work with marketing to consistently develop new concepts and franchises for the category
- Provide ongoing briefings to the Ad Sales Manager and Head of Industry, including areas of opportunity, revenue progress, and requirements to grow the category
- Represent Hearst as needed on sales calls, entertaining opportunities, and at advertiser/industry events
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in selling media and managing campaigns in the finance category across print, digital, social and experiential
- Deep industry contacts and positive relationships with client and agency partners in the finance industry
- Deep understanding of the media landscape, with the ability to identify and manage partnership across all mediums
- A self-starter who instinctively takes charge has a positive 'team player' approach and is comfortable in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
- Analytical, strategic thinker, creative problem solver, and resourceful
- An individual who works well within a corporate and creative environment
- Superior attention to detail and timely follow-through is critical
- Relationship builder, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong ideation and presentation skills
