Eaton's North American Sales Division is currently seeking an Executive Sales Engineer to join our team. This is a Hybrid position based at our Littleton, CO office.

Position Overview:

Your primary responsibility as an Executive Sales Engineer is to market and sell Eaton's products and services to obtain orders by managing the assigned customer base, to increase sales in the local marketplace, application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers.

In this role, you will be expected to achieve electrical distribution and engineering services solutions sales results. This will be expected in the geographic market region consistent with the expectations of seasoned sales professionals. This position is expected to develop, grow, and maintain relationships with Eaton employees, specifiers, and customers including Eaton authorized distributors.

In this function you will:
  • Understand Eaton's support structure available to sales, quotes and pricing negotiation
  • Prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness
  • Leads and coordinate team bid strategy meetings for large projects in assigned market
  • Apply technical knowledge for all products that are involved with the sales assignment
  • Understand project specifications, electrical one-lines, drawings, and product takeoffs
  • Work with factories to resolve technical issues and work with customers to resolve quality issues
  • Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever changing pricing and delivery requirements
  • Assist the team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions
  • Acts as a coach and mentor to team members to development team capabilities
  • Utilize proprietary systems and software including Bidmanager and VISTA

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum seven (7) years of electrical industry sales experience -OR- a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of electrical industry sales experience
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Littleton, CO will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical experience within the construction industry
  • Strong negotiation skills

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $98,462 to $135,385 a year.

Eligible for a performance-based Sales Incentive Plan with a target at 30% of base salary.
