This position will be based in Minneapolis, MN, and will work closely with one of our healthcare clients on site, as well as our parent company, Wipro.

As Experience Design Director you will act as thought leader for creating powerful end-to-end experiences, acting as a consultant and advisor to our clients. Your primary focus is building trust to identify new business opportunities for Designit within and adjacent to the existing projects. You will play a crucial role positioning Designit capabilities at this account to expand our overall pipeline, with support from our internal Client Services team and Wipro Account Leads. As opportunities are uncovered, you will be uniquely positioned to act as the design delivery lead shepherding the team and quality of the work. Your background in delivering high-quality, human-centered, yet business value-based experiences will be the key to discovering opportunities where Designit can drive greater impact for our clients and users at large.   

 
Would you like to... 

  • Uphold and represent digital product creation methodology and best practices, to collaborate and advise clients on their design process 
  • Proactively identify opportunities within digital transformation engagements where the result can be enhanced, accelerated, streamlined, etc. with the integration of design methodologies
  • Form strong client relationships, driving growth within our client account by opening doors to new opportunities. Act as a Design consultant to clients.  
  • Understand the holistic client account portfolio, pipeline, and org structure to strategically determine where Designit can provide solutions for client needs
  • Collaborate with internal account executives to shape and present design-led pitches and proposals, showcasing our expertise and industry best practices.
  • Create strategic account plans and business development strategies in collaboration with Wipro and our internal Designit Client Services team
  • Lead strategic and consultative engagements, advising clients on healthy business decisions.
  • Be the voice for experience design, internally and externally, positioning Designit as a thought leader in the industry. 

We would like you to have... 

  • 10+ years of experience delivering best-in-class digital product and transformation experiences.
  • 5+ years of proven track record in growing client relationships and accounts within an agency or creative/design consultancy.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent project/portfolio experience.
  • Expertise in business design, design thinking, UX principles, and methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen, aligning design solutions with client objectives and needs.
  • Strong ability to create inclusive, user-centric, and data-driven digital products/experiences.
  • Comfortable in a consulting role, experienced in client-facing positions and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating with distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, building rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Financial awareness, understanding high-level PnL and GM fundamentals.
  • Experience in end-to-end, cross-disciplinary proposals, RFPs, and sales pitches.
  • Willingness to be on-site at client location in Minneapolis and to travel, based on account needs.

Compensation Range: $170,000 - $190,000.

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity. 

This role requires the individual to be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19.  The individual will be required to submit proof of vaccination.  Reasonable accommodations will be considered for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law.
