Primary Function
We are looking for a talented systematic thinker with a strong passion for visual design to join our team. The Experience Designer will be part of the team to discover the experience strategy of a Direct-to-Consumer homeowner’s lifecycle given our new normal. The Experience Designer is responsible for partnering with product managers, business leaders, and consumers to define the products and services that enhance the customer experience and drive the business forward. As a qualified candidate, you would have a portfolio demonstrating your ability to create a unified and cohesive visual language across the brand’s products. Ideally, your portfolio would highlight your individual contributions to the design systems as well.

Principal Duties:

Develop a comprehensive modular set of UX and visual guidelines for mobile & web products.

Drive a human-centered design process that spans all phases of development, from framing a problem to creating product concepts for launch.

Create high-quality responsive mockups and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate components styling.

Be part of a team that works cross-functionally to fuel ideation and drive new solutions for the homeowner experience.

Plan and organize research initiatives and moderate user sessions as needed.

Integrate WCAG 2.2 guidelines into the component and pattern libraries to ensure an inclusive design language.

Articulate the research findings and present opportunity areas for impact.

Plan strategically across teams to define the future state of design systems.

Maintain and iterate the design system to keep it updated and ensuring consistency and scalability.

Demonstrate exceptional visual design skills in creating modern and clean user-centered interfaces.

Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in in Communication Design, Graphic design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field.

2-4 years of experience in an Interaction Design or Product Design role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Upbeat and collaborative teammate who is passionate about improving the future of homeownership in this new normal.

Highly proficient in creating responsive designs with Figma and ideate in Miro
-
Comfortable with ambiguity and healthy curiosity.

Passionate about discovering meaningful insights that unlock customer value and create impactful changes.

Experience working with design systems (e.g., Material Design, Carbon, Apple Human Interface Guidelines).

Ability to work with a low-ego within a highly collaborative cross-functional team.

Adapt to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

The base salary for this position is expected to be within the $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 range. If hired, base salary will be determined on an individualized basis, dependent upon the individual’s qualifications and other job-related factors. Base salary is only a part of total compensation, which will also include a discretionary annual bonus.
