Experience Program Manager - Conversion Programs

Join our Conversion Programs team as an Experience Program Manager to lead and drive critical customer-facing conversion communications. In this role, you will be responsible for both the program management and the hands-on experience ownership of various initiatives, focusing on Email, Push Notifications, and the Native Notification Hub. You will be pivotal in shaping the long-term strategy and driving it with precision, working alongside engineering, design, analytics, and various other teams within eBay, including Core Product, Core Design, Core AI, Core Tech, and Payments. This highly visible position requires a balance of technical competence, program management skills, and a passion for creating compelling CRM experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leadership and partners to develop and maintain the program roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and design, to implement the roadmap, build MVPs, and ensure rapid iteration and execution excellence.
• Apply deep knowledge of eBay's offerings and domain expertise in marketing channels to drive program initiatives.
• Translate program goals into technical requirements and effectively communicate them to engineering teams.
• Design and conduct A/B tests, establish hypotheses, define test designs, and determine critical metrics.
• Partner with analytics teams to track program impact and success metrics.
• Work with the creative team to refine content and design, enhancing user engagement.
• Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements.
• Prioritize program features and tasks based on business impact, user needs, and strategic value.
• Perform market research and competitive analysis to find opportunities and inform program direction.
• Ensure clear communication and foster collaboration between the development team and partners.
• Monitor and report on program performance and key metrics, driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years in product, business, or marketing roles, with at least 3 years in e-commerce. Marketplace experience is highly valued.
• Proven experience in technical program management, with a track record of working directly with front-end and back-end engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality experiences in a fast-paced, iterative environment with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in developing and optimizing email and native app notifications within the e-commerce sector.
• Skilled in managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
• A strong sense of ownership, with the ability to understand consumer needs and devise innovative solutions.
• Data-driven attitude with the capability to develop metrics that gauge program performance.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen actively, communicate clearly, and influence cross-functional teams.

Hard Skills:

• Experience in building products from the ground up (0 to 1 product development).
• Proficiency in prioritization and project management.
• Agile and Scrum methodologies, including Jira.
• Writing detailed technical product requirements.
• Understanding of Producer-Consumer, Publisher-Subscriber patterns, business event streams, and REST services.
• Expertise in A/B testing, experiment design, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of e-commerce, conversion, retention, and user flow optimization.
• Experience with mobile apps, email, and notification systems.
• Familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning concepts.
• Market research and competitive analysis skills.
• Basic copywriting skills are a plus.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$88,000 - $137,500

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
