Experienced Asphalt Laborer – Blueprint & Site Plan Knowledge

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction site protocols. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Duties • Operate various types of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and graders. • Assist in paving operations and ensure proper site preparation. • Perform utility locating tasks to identify underground utilities before excavation. • Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs. • Collaborate with team members on construction projects to ensure timely completion. • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. • Participate in site clean-up and organization of materials. Skills • Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, particularly with Caterpillar machinery. • Experience in construction and familiarity with construction site practices. • Ability to operate dozers, loaders, backhoes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and graders effectively. • Knowledge of paving techniques and utility locating procedures. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
