Experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician

Overview We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Refrigeration systems and refrigeration technologies and have experience with walk-in refrigeration units, reach ins, and commercial ice machines. You will be responsible for service, repair, maintenance, and installation of refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot various refrigeration issues effectively. Duties • Repair, service and maintain refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines) • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment. • Utilize tools such as an ohm meter to diagnose electrical issues within refrigeration systems. • Perform appliance repairs related to refrigeration units and other cooling devices. • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure all equipment operates efficiently. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cooling, boiling, and refrigerating processes. • Execute brazing or welding tasks as necessary for repairs or installations of refrigeration components. • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs. • Rotating schedule for overtime calls Qualifications • Proven experience as a service technician in the refrigeration field. • Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on refrigeration systems. • Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Relevant certifications or refrigeration technology are advantageous, including EPA Universal.
