Experienced Electrician/ PLC
Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced and safety-consciousElectrician / Electronic Technicianto join our team at our manufacturing facility inPhoenix, AZ. This role is essential in ensuring the electrical functionality and reliability of all production and support machinery through expert-level installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and repair electrical and electronic components on manufacturing and support machinery
• Diagnose electrical issues and troubleshoot machinery failures
• Dismantle and reassemble machines partially or completely as needed for maintenance or repair
• Replace defective parts and report any further maintenance needs or required components
• Maintain all machinery in peak operational condition
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and machine programming
• Perform preventative maintenance based on established schedules and best practices
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and downtime
• Collaborate with other team members and report directly to supervisors on repair status and safety concerns
Qualifications:
• Minimum 480 hours of formal/informal training over a 90-day period (includes safety and hazardous material training)
• Extensive experience in electrical trade functions includingelectronics and PLCs
• Strong knowledge ofladder logicand machine programming
• Proficient in the use of electrical tools and meters (e.g., micrometers, voltage meters, calipers, tape measures)
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and decimal conversions
• Ability to read downtime reports, checklists, and instructions in English
• Forklift operation skills (must be certified within 90 days)
Safety Requirements:
• Must wear required PPE: helmet, safety goggles, steel-toed shoes; use ear plugs, gloves, and back brace as needed
• Attend and participate in all safety meetings and training
• Follow all safety procedures, includinglockout/tagout protocols
• Report all accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions within 24 hours
• Maintain compliance with all chemical handling and hazard safety protocols
