Citizen Development program empowers Discover employees to innovate and create software applications. It also makes it easy for application developers to build prototypes and enable rapid application development. The democratization of software development process and making AI accessible for all employees is the key goal of the Citizen Development program.

In this role in the Enterprise Architecture Technology Strategy and Innovation organization, you will be working in a highly collaborative environment with business partners, senior architects, and product owners. You will have a deep technical mindset, be a leader that can evaluate business requirements, and emerging technologies in areas like Low-Code/No-Code application platforms, Cognitive computing and ML/AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop thought leadership, define/contribute to technical guidelines and identify industry trends in the Citizen Development space.
• Identify, lead and contribute to the creation of best practices, white papers, reference architecture, workshops, etc.
• Collaborate and partner with teams across Discover to identify use-cases and increase the adoption of the products and features.
• Lead the creation of Citizen Development governance model and workload placement strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors – Computer Science or related
• 10+ Years – Software Development, Software Engineering, Technical Architecture or Related
• Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus architecture scale

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience in Cloud Architecture, Machine Learning and Big Data Architecture
• 5+ years of performing engineering work delivering software
• Experience with Low-Code/No-Code application platforms or other model-driven development tools
• Experience with AutoML and end-to-end MLOps platforms like Dataiku, H2O or DataRobot
• Excellent understanding and hands-on experience of machine learning techniques and algorithms for both supervised and unsupervised learning
• Experience with AWS Sagemaker and/or GCP Vertex AI
• Strong understanding of NLP and Chatbot technologies.
• Challenge the status quo and nurture creative thinking.
• Stay current with AI/ML trends and be a though leader in AI area.
• Ability to build consensus between teams and peers using effective communication and collaborative techniques

Nice to haves:

• Experience in working with advanced machine learning frameworks – Pytorch, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost, MLLib etc.
• Experience building and deploying ML products over AWS and/or GCP
