Expert Product Enablement Manager

Why this role matters: Product Enablement is a specialized arm of a Product Management team that focuses on providing the sales and support teams with a deep understanding of the product's features, functionality, and technical details. This includes developing technical training programs and resources for sales teams and collaborating day-to-day with product management and engineering teams to stay up-to-date on product developments and updates. 

 

What will you do: In this role, you will create and execute product enablement strategies for Vonage’s Applications group, comprising UCaaS, CCaaS, and AI solutions, that balance sales and technical enablement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, sales enablement, customer success, product management, marketing, operations, and engineering to ensure our teams have the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed. In addition, you will hold outbound responsibilities that aid the process and the supported teams, including maintaining competitive awareness and industry direction, supporting analyst relationships and associated activities, and empowering our direct and indirect sales teams with ear-to-the-ground information. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute product enablement plans for sales and customer success teams to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to effectively sell and support our products.
  • Work with product management to stay current on product features, functionality, and roadmap, and effectively communicate this information to sales and customer success teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
  • Develop and manage technical enablement programs for sales and customer success teams to ensure they deeply understand our products and how they solve customer challenges.
  • Create and manage product training materials, including presentations, videos, and other resources.
  • Support outbound initiatives, including analyst relationships / analyst surveys / briefings and inquiries. Speak on industry panels as needed. 
  • Own internal and external technical product documentation. 
  • Conduct product training sessions and workshops for sales and customer success teams and other cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Assess the effectiveness of product enablement programs through regular feedback and analytics, and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Work with engineering teams to develop technical training programs and resources for sales and customer success teams.
  • Participate in product launches and go-to-market initiatives, ensuring that sales and customer success teams are fully prepared.
  • Provide guidance to sales and customer success teams on effectively positioning our products in the market, considering competitive offerings and customer needs.
 

What will you bring: 

  • Deep Contact Center & Communications Industry Experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing and Sales Organizations
  • Experience creating clear messaging and positioning of new products geared to target markets. 
  • Strong Operational and Organizational skills required to align large cross-functional GTM teams
  • Has held a previous role in Sales Enablement or equivalent
  • Experience working with and managing Industry Analysts and Analyst Relationships
  • Experience in developing and maturing 3rd party partnerships for indirect sales and GTM motions, such as ISVs, Consultants, SIs, and Channel Resellers
