Export Control Manager - Redmond, WA

Just-Evotec is seeking an experienced Export Control Manager to oversee and ensure compliance with all U.S. export control laws and regulations for both Just-Evotec Biologics and Evotec Inc. This position will play a crucial role in managing and implementing export control procedures, with responsibility for ensuring that all export activities comply with relevant U.S. government regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries, particularly in biologics or small molecule pharmaceuticals. 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 5 years of experience overseeing U.S. export control activities within a biologics, small molecule pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company. 

• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of U.S. export control regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and other relevant laws. 

• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry, with specific experience in biologics or small molecule products. 

• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage compliance programs across multiple business units. 

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide training and guidance to cross-functional teams. 

• Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. 

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., life sciences, legal, or international trade).  

Preferred: 

• Experience working with both biologics and small molecule pharmaceuticals. 

• Previous leadership experience in a multi-site or global company setting. 

• Relevant certifications in export control or compliance management. 

Based at Redmond, WA with visits to our Seattle, WA sites. Travel required approximately 40% depending on homesite location.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $92,400 to $126,500; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
