The JDE APAC region combines a diverse brand portfolio, promoting our global brands to the Asian markets whilst also owning a wide range of beloved heritage brand cherished by our Asian customers. JDE APAC operates across the region in 7 key markets consisting of Australia, Greater China, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and an international export market. Manufacturing and packing operations are managed from six manufacturing locations namely in Malaysia (Johor Bahru, Ipoh), Thailand, China, Australia, and New Zealand.

Situated in Singapore, the Singapore ADM cluster business serves as a strategic base for expanding JDE’s global presence in the Asian region. Singapore also serves as a operating hub for the APAC leadership team and the regional corporate functions such as Finance, Internal Controls, Marketing, HR and Corporate Affairs.

Qualifications

Drive profitable business growth

  • Define and sustainably drive respective export markets business and route to market strategy through collaborative partnerships with distributors.
  • Drive a data-based approach to derive market insights and translate into business plans (i.e. Consumer, Channel, customer plans) to fulfil business objectives.
  • Partner with distributors to generate awareness and trial initiatives for JDE brands.
  • Research, identify and execute potential business opportunities in existing and new markets. 

Distributor and Stakeholder Management

  • Select distributors, negotiate contracts, and manage distributor relations.
  • Negotiate and contract with distributors, considering trade allowances and contractual conditions.
  • Participate in channel and account planning activities. Define sales and go to market plan with distributors.
  • Partner stakeholders to plan and organize resources (i.e. shipping and dispatch schedules, marketing activations etc).


Pricing and Sales Management

  • Optimize the positioning of global and local brands in export countries, aligning with growth and cost targets.
  • Formulate general pricing, promotional pricing, and trade margins to achieve targets within agreed pricing bandwidths.

Additional Information

  • Minimum 5 – 8 years of international commercial business experience
  • Proven track record on defining and implementing the sales strategy in the best way in different countries.
  • Proven track record on driving efficient specific different distributors (sustainable & profitable business growth)
  • Solid experience in FMCG products
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating sales teams
  • Sound financial understanding and a record of managing a P&L.
