External and Corporate Relations Vice-Presidency (ECR)

The ECR Vice-Presidency's mandate is to strengthen the World Bank Group's development impact by building political and financial support for the World Bank Group and its mission. ECR manages corporate communications, issues and risk management, global engagement with key stakeholders, including media, civil society, and international organizations, as well as employee engagement. ECR is responsible for the Group's corporate online and social media presence, and produces content for a wide variety of platforms, including print, broadcast, and web.

ECRPG

ECR's Department for Partnerships & Practice Groups (ECRPG) provides strategic communication guidance to the World Bank Group's Practice Groups, Global Practices and Global Themes. The ECRPG team works to ensure that high impact strategic communication approaches, aligned to PG and corporate priorities, are deployed across the PG and GPs. This includes a focus on digital and online channels, as ECRPG is responsible for designing, launching, and maintaining a high-quality and engaging external digital platforms for the Practice Groups.

The ECRPG is looking for an External Affairs Analyst (digital) to work with the ECRPG teams to develop, modify, and maintain internal and external digital properties, implement information governance policy and guidance, and help to manage the development of certain technology tools that may be needed as part of ongoing ECRPG operations. The Analyst will work across units, operating with a cross cutting teamwork approach with the ECRPG teams working across digital and online.

Accountabilities and Duties

• This position will require digital expertise, with experience across different platforms, including Adobe Experience Management, Adobe Digital Analytics, Adobe Campaigns, Adobe Communities, and Microsoft SharePoint
• The External Affairs Analyst for digital must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines and changing priorities. This candidate must be able to provide a variety of web layout options with minimal guidance in AEM to facilitate feedback and discussion, and able to strategize, set up, and report analytics to a variety of stakeholders.
• This position requires fluency with the web and analytics platforms used by the World Bank Group in particular a variety of Adobe products. The position further requires an ability to align stakeholders and meet technology and web requirements within the greater World Bank Group ecosystem. Working knowledge of image and video editing software a plus. The candidate should have the drive and interest to innovate in learning and deploying tools to support the team in achieving its strategic goals.
• Specific responsibilities of the position include:
• Producing content for blog channels and websites across ECRPG; ensuring all editorial, technical and privacy standards meet WB web governance, Digital Accessibility Guidelines and data privacy guidelines.
• Acting as a liaison between ECRPG and ECRED for guidance and standards related editorial (especially related to new "immersive" style stories), multilingual approaches, search engine optimization, editorial guidelines.
• Using data and insights from web analytics to recommend adjustments to publishing and dissemination.
• Providing quality assurance checks for new webpages and technical expertise to resolve any minor production related issues - individually or in coordination with Web CMS Support team.
• Editing/Publishing multimedia content (e.g., infographics, video, audio), including materials (e.g., interactive visuals) developed externally that rely on public APIs.
• Monitoring KPIs and reporting format for key sites (internal, external) that display site and social media analytics using measurement tools (like Adobe digital analytics, Talkwalker) in an easy-to-understand format for a variety of stakeholders.
• Independently create multiple site design mockups for discussion and feedback based on agreed visual guides.
• Establishing online protocols/systems for alerts to flag risks and opportunities in external online stakeholder postings and conversations.
• Troubleshooting a variety of technology and web-related issues as part of special projects.
• Providing multilingual support in preparing, packaging, and adapting content on the web for corporate languages (Arabic, French, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish) as needed. Coordinating translations for the online team in web content as needed in corporate languages.
• Managing special projects as requested.

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience as a web producer or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience and expertise working with Adobe AEM content management system, Adobe Photoshop and other online presentation tools
• Fluency with online performance measurement and impact analysis tools such as Adobe Digital Analytics
• Prior work with World Bank Group websites and ability to "hit the ground running" without training and with minimal supervision
• Ability to rapidly incorporate feedback into site design and to provide multiple options in site design and layout based on needs
• A keen understanding of the various ECR teams and their roles and responsibilities is preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and prioritize work programs is required.
• Ability to manage project deliverables and deadlines
• Experience creating multimedia and interactive content (such as slideshows and photo editing)
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and to share workplans in a transparent manner
• Experience working on cross-functional teams.
• Strong diplomatic, interpersonal, and teamwork skills; sensitivity to working in a multicultural environment
