Your Role and Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for articulating our ecosystem strategy and the role of partners in driving our hybrid cloud and AI leadership. They will communicate partner news milestones and success through proactive and consistent media relations and external content channels. This individual will work directly with senior executives and our partner communications leads to inform story angles media strategy and messages and will operate as part of a high-performing team consisting of IBMers and PR agency partners.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience leading public relations and communications initiatives
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with media relations required
  • Capable of working independently as well as cross-functionally with Marketing Product Development and Legal
  • Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience telling technology-related stories in a PR agency or in-house communications team
  • Experience working with clients and/or partners
  • Experience working with business technology and channel media
  • Understanding of enterprise technology
  • Understanding of cloud computing and AI concepts and trends
