Extraction Flex Assistant

JOB TITLE: Extraction Flex Assistant

AUTHORITY & SUPERVISION: 

• Reports directly to the Extractions Manager 
• Additional oversight by Director of Production when working in Packaging

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Extraction)

• Operate intricate equipment in accordance with Solar Therapeutics’ Standard Operating Procedures
• Clean and help maintain equipment daily
• Collect data and enter on appropriate spreadsheets
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Be aware of quality and compliance standards and check for defects
• Comply with all state regulations and company standard practices and procedures
• Store supplies and equipment, dispose of waste according to guidelines, and keep laboratory working areas sanitary and safe
• Report leaks and faulty equipment to Extractions Manager
• Check with Supervisor/ Manager for daily scheduled tasks
• Set up work station for task scheduled
• Clean station and follow daily cleaning and maintenance protocols & document when appropriate
• Maintain consistency through repetition to maintain uniformity in products
• Assist technicians with daily routines
• Collect Ethanol/ ISO as needed from barrels outside
• Ability to work with machinery independently and report to management when abnormalities are noticed
• Grind extraction material
• Assist with hash washing
• Assist with loading/ unloading extractor
• Decarboxylation/ Terpene collection 
• Assist with vape cart production 
• Assist in the Packaging department when needed.
• On occasion you may be asked to cross train or help in other departments/positions (Kitchen, Pre-Roll, Post-Harvest, Trim/Manicure)
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Job Duties & Responsibilities: (Packaging)

• Solar package “Box label” properly filled out, which includes Task, Initials, old tag new tag, quantity, Product description
• Properly fill out Production Index card, which includes Employee Name, Date, Start time, Product, METRC, Total, End time
• Properly fill out MP & Third Party sheets
• On occasion you may be asked to cross train or help in other departments/positions (Kitchen, Pre-Roll, Post-Harvest, Trim/Manicure)
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

• Great interpersonal/communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Have genuine and positive energy
• Great work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
• Excellent listening skills
• Cannabis industry experience & knowledge preferred
• Experience working in a laboratory preferred
• Knowledge of METRC a plus

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
• Frequently moves up to 30+ pounds of equipment/materials/product within rooms (100 pounds with assistance).
• This job function may include being in a stationary position, or moving for extended periods of time.
