Pratt and Whitney Military Engines has an opening for a motivated, self-starting Customer Support Hardware Engineer.

As part of the Military Customer Support and Services, you will have responsibility for supporting fielded engines including leading investigations, Depot support and general questions in support of the assigned hardware.

Work closely with internal P&W entities, our Boeing team counterparts, and our USAF customer, perform DR investigations per USAF TO 00-35D-54 and PW MCS&S processes, planning and scheduling technical investigations, support Field Service Representatives and customers at US and non-US locations. Author Position Papers to convey Pratt & Whitney's technical recommendations to F117 customers, develop logistics plans and implement corrective actions.

Review and develop maintenance procedures and coordinate with customer for incorporation and updates, present major issues and propose solutions to internal management team and external customers. Support and present as required at internal safety meetings, coordinate and present technical issues in support of customer conferences.

You will also coordinate activity to resolve issues affecting engine readiness and customer satisfaction. Demonstrate adaptability and capability to manage multiple priorities in parallel.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years experience in engineering or technical field.
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • BS degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or a technical field
  • Knowledge of jet engine hardware design and maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with military customers, jet engine maintenance and operations
  • Knowledge of formal Engineering Change (EA) process
  • Demonstrate concise, accurate technical writing and presentation skills
