POSITION SUMMARY:
The facilities team lead will function as a member of the facilities team. This position ensures facility technicians are kept on task and provides coaching as needed. This position is also responsible for the rapid diagnosis and repair of building and infrastructure equipment as well as leading facilities related infrastructure upgrade projects. This hands-on position will serve as the first layer of escalation for technical issues that arise for the facility. The facilities team lead will ensure that critical systems pertaining to climate control, compressed air, nitrogen generation, and other key systems are properly maintained and operate effectively. This position will ensure that a safe work environment is always maintained.
General Responsibilities
  • High degree of comprehension and judgement for effective problem solving. Demonstrated ability to calculate and analyze data, generate reports, and present information.
  • Previous experience working in a highly collaborative environment with stakeholders across multiple teams of various technical disciplines.
  • Understanding of energy reduction principles across key plant consumables such as electricity, compressed air, water, and natural gas.
  • Ability to conceptualize, coordinate, integrate, internal data and clearly articulate concepts, ideas, and other issues related to facility and energy improvement projects.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving, and prior leadership skills.
  • Well versed with PCs, Microsoft Office, computer applications.
  • Ability to lead and develop others through support and training.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Direct and assist facility technician as needed.
  • Coach facility technicians in proper analysis techniques, processes, and procedures
  • Administers and applies company policy consistently and fairly.
  • Use blueprints and schematics, print specifications, as related to building infrastructure (power, air, water, etc.)
  • Orientates new team members on processes, policies, procedures, and people.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing positive team morale.
  • Supports facility supervisor with resource planning, overtime, and weekend coverage.
  • Ensures methods and procedures are adhered to, maintaining the efficiency of uptime for which facility technicians are responsible.
  • Responsible for team performance of maintaining accurate and complete diagnosis of equipment.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts for existing systems, and new materials for incoming systems.
  • Managing communication and project timelines for outsourced assistance. Collaborate and lead external contractors.
