Facilities Assistant

Overview:

At Locus we are growing and expanding our campus which is why we are looking for a Facilities Assistant to come in and join the team! As the Facilities Assistant, you will get exposure to a variety of equipment and systems including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and more!

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Perform a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for the facility, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
• Ensure that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
• Assemble, repair, maintain, and move furniture.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plumbing, air compressors and HVAC filters.
• Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security; identify and report hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain records and logs of daily activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Knowledge of general maintenance principles including:
  • Methods and techniques used in the operation, repair, and maintenance of facilities/ equipment
  • Operational characteristics of a variety of tools and equipment
  • Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Principles and practices of record-keeping
  • Mobile Work Order platforms and procedures
• Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication.
• Ability to use basic reading, comprehension, and math skills to solve problems.
